TOUR OUR FACILITIES

This sketch plan shows the general layout of the four ponds A, B, C and D. The two bedroom central heated caravans are shown as Pondside Caravans 1 and 2. The three bedroom caravans and the Bed & Breakfast chalets are in a private courtyard just behind the two and three bedroom caravans shown as 3,4,5 and 6. Pond A and B are connected by a channel therefore, they share water and fish. This enables angling clubs wishing to hire the ponds for matches to take either pond A or B or both depending on their size. The ladies and gents flush toilets are between pond B and C and are easily accesssible from pond A.

The photos below are of the well maintained fishing ponds. The car park for the ponds is located at the end of pond A and is accessed directly from the roadway. These ponds are well stocked with common, crucian, mirror and ghost Carp, Barbel, Roach, Chub, Perch, Hybrids, Green and Golden Tench, Golden Orfe, and even a few goldfish for good measure.

The two bedroom static caravans (1,2 & 3), shown below, are alongside pond C which is very well stocked with a great variety of fish, including Carp (mirror, common, crucian, ghost, and even some koi). Chub and roach ensure that there are plenty of good fish to be caught by the angler who wants to catch all year round. Also barbel to 5lb which will give you a good run for your money. Golden and Blue Orfe, goldfish, and shubunkin in abundance.

Each of the two bedroom caravans located on pond C have their own private pegs right outside the doors, these pegs are reserved exclusively for residents. Car parking spaces are just at the side, beside the bait and tackle storage room.

The two three bedroom caravans ( 6 & 7), together with the Bed & Breakfast chalets are situated in the small courtyard which is about 30 feet from the waters edge. Fishing pegs on pond C can be reserved by residents.

From 2010, there will be two Premier range 12 ft wide well equipped static caravans available. Honeysuckle (4) is a three bedroom unit and Poppy (1) is a two bedroom unit both located on the side of pond C.

The small cafe is just a few yards from the ponds and serves an excellent full english breakfast, or for those too lazy to walk, there are bacon sandwiches etc. which can be ordered for delivery to your peg.

Even in icy conditions the ponds are fishable due to the high powered water jet which is inserted into the water to ensure water movement to clear away the ice. This water jet also doubles as an oxygenator in the hot summer months ensuring the fish are in tip top condition at all times.
